LEAD AND TEACHING PASTOR- Though raised in a Jewish family, Pastor Ron first heard the gospel his second week in college. He was drawn to the message of God's love revealed in His Son and on September 9th, 1977 received the Lord Jesus as his Savior and Lord.
Pastor Ron was called by God to the ministry and began a period of preparation that would include four academic degrees, internships and eventually ordination to the gospel ministryin 1988.
Following this, he went to the 1987 Urbana Missions conference and met Maryann. Although they developed their relationship long distance over a 17 month period, they were married on August 1989.
Three weeks later, in September of 1989, Pastor Ron began his seminary training. After a six month teaching assignment where he taught beginning Hebrew in seminary, he served his first pastorate for 10 years in a Baptist church in New Hampshire. During those ten years, both of Pastor Ron & Maryann's children, Rebecca & Joshua were born.
Pastor Ron served in an Evangelical Free Church in Colorado before coming to Hillside Baptist Church in the Fall of 2008.

Jawayne is a multi-talented woman of God. So whether you need general information or technical information on just about anything, she is the one to call! Jawayne and her beloved husband, Tom, have called Dickinson their home for 20 years.
Sunday School Superintendent- Marty VanVeldhuizen
CUSTODIAN- Additionally, Hillside is blessed to have a custodian that keeps our surroundings in tip top shape. Claudette can be found almost any hour of the day preparing the Lord's house for the next event, gathering or service. Claudette has been at Hillside Baptist for 10 years and has been happily married to Louie for over 40 years.
WORSHIP DIRECTOR- Kari Kolling
Kari's love for music started at a very early age. Though she didn't love to practice, she loved to play piano or sing beautiful pieces. With a large family, her parents taught them to sing in parts and perform at events. My Father's greatest desire, was for us to glorify God with our talents. Kari is so excited to serve the Hillside family as Worship Director, orchestrating worship with music on a weekly basis. She hopes the music puts a song in your heart the whole week long! Keep praising Him! In her spare time, Kari loves treating Matt (her husband) and 2 kids (Joshua and Emma) to her healthy cooking creations. She loves to run, be with friends and family and pretty much try all things new and interesting.
WEBMASTER- Jo Ann Coates
Jo Ann has lived in North Dakota for 17 years but still calls Mississippi home. She wears many hats with her favorite being 'wife' (to Chris) and 'mom' to Cortney, Shelley and Trevor. Jo Ann works during the school year at Dickinson High School where she can be found teaching students with various disabilities. Her passion is to be a witness for Christ no matter where she is or the situation. In her spare time, Jo Ann is an avid writer, computer geek, reader and hockey/baseball mom.
Children's Ministry Director- Darcy Buerkle
Darcy was born and raised in North Dakota. She has a passion for children and is excited to be serving the Body of Christ in this area. In her free time she loves to run, quilt, read, and crochet.
